You May Want To Consider

Obedience to rules is not the way to tell who is a follower of Jesus Christ. We can be identified as a believer only when we reflect the true nature of Jesus Christ -- and that's not easy to do. Love is the answer and the only way it can be done. Agape love which means "giving" love is the love we're talking about. Religiousity - what we do as Christians - is idolatry if it's not filled and covered with Love. Our faith is only philosophy at best unless it's filled and covered with God's Love. The identifying characteristic of a follower of Jesus Christ is unconditional love. That's Agape! (1 John 4:7) -Thomas Q. Robbins

      THE GOSPEL IN MINIATURE

      John 3:1-18

Bible Study with Dr. Thomas Q. Robbins

Week of January 22-28, 2012

We now live in a culture where everyone in your immediate and extended family will be confronted in someway by people of other religions and philosophies that border on religious belief.

When questioned about your faith, using John 3:16 in your answer is the finest and most powerful answer you could respond with.

To help us dissect the meaning of this verse, our teacher, Dr. Thomas Q. Robbins, segments this simple but powerful verse into seven sections or aspects to make it easer to understand and apply to our own life before we are equipped to share it with others…. And you will be ready.
There are a few verses of scripture that any follower of Jesus Christ holds dear and is ready to recite at a moment’s notice.  Of all the scriptures you can know, chances are that John 3:16 is the most familiar to you and the one you can immediately recall.

Martin Luther called it “the gospel of Jesus Christ in Miniature.  In the lesson today Dr. Thomas Q. Robbins would like us to join him in examining why John 3:16 had been called the gospel in miniature.  And the reason for exploring the verse in this was is so that you will be equipped to understand our own faith better and, when the opportunity comes, to be better able to explain the gospel and your faith to someone else.

Our lesson, “The Gospel of Jesus Christ In Miniature,   is based on John Chapter 3 and verses 1-18.   Have a pen or pencil ready to write down the seven aspects of this wonderful verse.

WONDERED ABOUT THE THEME OF "COME AND SEE?"

bobpress.jpgBob Bennett  - Artist/Composer "Come and See" theme
Many listeners have asked about the theme song of "Come and See."  It is sung by Bob Bennett who is also the composer.  Some ten years ago, Bob gave Dr. and Mrs. Robbins permission to use his "Come and See" song for the radio program.  Since then listeners have been blessed by the message and the unique ministry of Bob Bennett.  You already know a lot about Bob just by listening the short theme.  He is unique in that while a musician and artist in Christian music, he is NOT a performer but rather a minister.  That's his life -- to serve his Lord through a unique approach to Christian music.   His official biography is printed below when you click the <READ MORE> link.
